What do you think of the Supreme Court decision not to hear same-sex marriage appeals?

Being on the conservative side of the aisle, I'm a little disappointed that the Supreme Court punted on this issue. I do think this is a tidal wave that cannot be stopped, but I feel the issue at least deserves to be ruled on by America's highest court.

Supreme Court rejects appeals on gay marriage, effectively legalizing it in 30 states.

Although I wish they would finally just rule, it's essentially the right decision. The equal protection clause of the 14th amendment makes it pretty clear that if you give rights to some, you have to give the same rights to all.
