I think why are more people not Libertarian. Libertarians believe in maximum freedom. Libertarians are the opposite of the Populace party and Individual freedoms reigns supreme.

I hear libertarian and I think of the New Hampshire state motto - live free or die. I think that a lot of people these days don't understand that we live in a constitutional Republic and it takes work and as a citizen you need to be involved with your government.

I believe libertarian is the true American. We broke from Britan this freedom is from 1. The Devine right of kings, and 2. The Holy Roman Empire. Sovereign citizens which had never happened in the history of mankind. Just like Sir William Wallace said in Braveheart you can take everything we have, but you never take our Freedom.

As for the pot thing, I'm a biologist, and a clinical medical scientist. Medical hemp works, why do you think that they developed marinol. The efficacy of the the cannabinoids in cancer is well established. It astounds me the hubris of the ruling class the that they can legislate six thousand years of medicine away for their own greed.

I agree with a lot of their values including personal freedom, small government, etc. There are a few points that make this group a little loonie.... Like not taxation! There is basic things the government should supply the people (roads, water, police, military) and those require taxes. But the military is strictly defense of our country and allies, police do nothing more than stopping drunk drivers, robberies, etc (speed traps are wrong if they actually ticket). I like MOST principals of it, but it's certainly not perfect

Well, you can't be actually free if you're being robbed at threat of imprisonment. Calling it what it is, taxation is theft, regardless of what it pays for.

I think they have their pros and cons like any other political party. I have been told by a friend who is big into politics that I am Libertarian even though I do not personally align myself with any political party. In the end I think we need to stop titling everyone and everything and just look at political members based off their qualifications for a job and if they the right fit for the job at this time.

I think small government and the resulting deregulation. Most libertarians tend to be either right wing or centrist on any given issue.

I personally do not think a libertarian administration would be good for the country. The powerful would take advantage and the powerless would get screwed, all while our infrastructure collapsed under the massive revenue cuts (libertarians hate taxation).

SP5 Christine Conley - I think its more ineffective because of the absolute disdain the GOP has for the current POTUS, and most of it has nothing to do with his policies or ideology.

All it takes are 41 senators to obstruct anything and everything, and the GOP have done that from day one of this administration.

My problem with taxation isn’t with infrastructure taxation, it’s things like paying registration (taxes) on a car I’ve already paid sales tax on and property taxes. You should never have to past taxes on property you e already paid taxes on. If you don’t continue paying taxes, you have your property seized. That completely screwed up. Basically you don’t own. I absolutely do not support that.

The outrageous comments are arising because some People are recognizing that our conventional choices are becoming vacuous and limited.
