I've posted this twice with the picture and it hasn't made it yet. So here it is without the picture...it's circulating, I'm sure you'll see it soon enough. The Army regulations on boots gives a very thorough description of what the issue boots consist of and what is required in off-the-shelf varieties. If you don't have them with you though, it may be hard to tell which ones are authorized or not. Well, now there is a picture of the unauthorized boots...and they are the ones that everyone has been wearing for the past 8 years. Expect enforcement to begin soon. What does everyone think?

What's everyone's thoughts on the attached photo? Are we worrying more about things like this and less on ensuring our force is a T on all tasks? Couldn't we spend some more time worrying about bigger issues and less on what type of footwear a Soldier is wearing?
