I came from the national guard to active duty and my NCO wants me to go to the board my promotion point worksheet says on status MLI-RECOMMENDED E5-STEP NCOES REQ. Does this mean that I do not have to go to the board in order to go to BLC or does this mean that I am just eligible to advance forward in my military career?

You are not required to appear before the board, you are already promotable. Once you go to BLC you can pin.

What if my leadership wants to send me to a promotion board when I have all the documentation stating that I have already earned my promotable status?

SFC, I am in a similar situation. I've been regular army and currently at BLC, but I fall sort of points. Does this mean I pin once I graduate? Or do I still have to make the grind?

Means you only need BLC in order to pin as previously stated.

You still have to meet the points for your MOS to promote correct?
