HRC Awards page doesn't list that abbreviation.
Is their an award that you weren't aware you received?
I'm sure someone will have the answer.

The only thing I can think it could be is a civilian award. the Amry Commander's Award for Civilian Service. But, I can't find anything about the abbreviation being anything close to CSSM. I thought that maybe someone in the community may have run into this in the past.

SSG (Join to see) are orders part of what you can access?
(I come from the days of 2-1 and microfiche.)

Well. I have been active duty, in a civilian position, then a contractor position for DoD, all while a US ARMY reservist. I was awarded a civlian award, during a civilian position working for the DoD.

The SM at the end would indicate some sort of Service Medal but I'm not familiar with that abbreviation (typo perhaps?). CSM (Join to see)

Certified in Security Supervision and Management? That was the only thing I could come up when I looked your MOS is IO based but I am not sure why a civilian award would appear on your military ERB.

The Cert for securty management wouldn't appear in the Awards and Decorations section in the ERB. It would be in training and Ceritifications. Its not out of the normal but, DoD has civilian awards and they can be worn if you re-transition in any form or fashion in military service. There are alot of DoD civilians that have done active duty and transitioned to the reserves. They do both obligations. That is the situation I was in for a bit and recieved a civilian award that is authorized to be worn in military dress uniform. But, that CSSM abbreviation is not the one for the Army Commanders Award for Civilian Service (ACACS). I was awarded a ACACS, that is showing up in my ERB, I have no ideal what this CSSM is.

Hard to tell. Also it is unlikely a typo as the citations and fields are auto generated from a click box window. Might be worth a call to S-1 to see if they can decode ring the acronym.
