Demonstrating qualities of an obligation to proceed to the end without calls or reasoning to cancel efforts of submissions.

To be responsible when it comes to completing tasks like on a job in a timely manner. Commitment is synonymous with responsibility actually.

Commitment is doing what you said you would do. Even if the commitment has to be broken for whatever then communication is key to ensure that the commitment would have be fulfilled because things do happen but if had the full intention and made the commitment - deliver or explain why and what happened. Be truthful if you ultimately have to break a commitment so you maintain your own moral, ethics, and values.

Commitment is a part of the fabric that defines who we are and what we are. It goes much deeper than just promising to say or do something. Commitment can only be considered in its totality. As a newly-commissioned Infantry officer in April 1967, I considered my oath of office to be a pledge to this country and to all who live here. Even today, after my honorable discharge in April 1969, I continue to abide by those words, "To defend this country against all enemies, both foreign and domestic." I view my present role to be an observer of current events - here at home in my Kentucky county, at the state capitol in Frankfort and at the federal level in DC. We are beset by real threats from abroad, but the local threats may be more of a danger than those. Groups of people, both residents and non-residents, seek to destroy our way of life, and their actions and words are driven by greed in their quest for power. They are strangers to truth and are blind to true history. As a lonely voice "crying in the wilderness," I seldom pass up an opportunity to educate those around me who demonstrate a willingness to listen and learn the truth. By the same token, I will not back away from calling out those who seem bent on destroying what our ancestors have built - the finest country in the world.
My commitments are as sacred as the marriage vows I took. Promises may be broken, but the true commitments will last forever.

To me commitment means that no matter what the circumstances you always put what is important first and you do it whether you want to or not.
