What does the word courage mean to you?

Courage is more than just doing what's needed when facing danger. Courage can also be standing up for others' right and liberties when doing so is unpopular, doing the right thing (having integrity) especially when you know that you will likely have negative consequences for it (such as filing a report truthfully when it makes the organization look less than stellar), and courage is doing these things because they need to be done and are right without expecting an award or reward for it.

Being afraid, really afraid to do something and somehow you do it anyway, no matter what the cost.

Having confidence that you will prevail, regardless of your obstacle(s) and your fear(s).

Courage is a young 19 yr old completing SERE training in 1966, complete with being a POW for the last 24 hours and only giving name rank serial date of birth.

Giving your life to safe an unknown person that facing a life threating situation

Courage is doing something that you know is dangerous but worth the risk.

It means to keep getting back up until that very last time when you stay up.

going into battle when you are called to do

Leaning into your discomfort.

Do what is right no matter the visibility or popularity of the situation.

Be the shadow of a leader for our current and future generations to emulate no matter the cost personally or professionally!
