What does the word courage mean to you?

Finding a way to use the things that almost broke you to help others make it through their struggles.

To face situations head on that are out of the normal or that cause fear. It may be a situation that does not seem such a big deal to someone, but for yourself it is. Having courage to face situations makes you a better person, and helps with your self esteem.

Doing what's right, going through with it and not backing down

Courage to me means you put aside your fears to do the right thing for your fellow humans

To be brave, having a purpose, having spirit. To have perseverance

To be brave, having a purpose, having spirit. To have an attitude of perseverance.

Fear, loneliness ,determination, doing the right thing makes me think of courage!

Having fear, but stepping into the fray with the fear as guide to keep you wits about you and carry on till the mission is accomplished.

Courage is overcoming fear and responding to a situation regardless of dire consequences.

The threshold level in a human being at which point when necessary all righteous actions taken are done despite the sacrifices or consequences of taking them in order to preserve life, justice, and freedom. It doesn't necessarily come with a cost but almost always does. Those that are able and willing to pay it when it does have the most courage, and are often referred to as a veteran, because the cost often equates to a persons life.
