What does the word honor mean to you?

Honor means acting "as if" every day

Act AS IF your mother is watching you

Act AS IF God is watching you

Act AS IF your actions and words have consequence

Non-negotiable duty to do what is right in the face of adversity. Initially learned in Cub and Boy Scouts, then when joining and pledging to Military. As in religion Honor thy Father and Mother by obedience and giving and accepting their love unconditionally.

Honor to me is that you remain true to your beliefs and ethics. Taking pride in one's self, one's family and their work is honorable. Stand by your word and by your morals.

When a person acts with honor, he or she demonstrates the qualities of selflessness, commitment, integrity, discipline, respect, and courage.

Honor is the adherence to a code of conduct that upholds the highest traditions and ideals of your group. It is the pursuit of moral perfection in speech, presentation, and action motivated by the recognition that you are responsible for carrying on the legacy to the next generation.

Honor means doing what is right. No matter what the populace wants, do the right thing and stand with integrity and respect.
