Honor is doing what you agreed to do. Doing so will not always be easy. You might have to embrace the suck. But America's military trains hard. So, you can perform under pressure. Your muscle memory kicks in when an emergency occurs and you are called to accomplish the mission. You will bring Honor to yourself and your family name. It is a gift the United States military, the greatest military that has ever stepped foot on this planet. bestows on all it's hard chargers.
Thank you 2nd Marine Division for making me Honorable. Whether I wanted to or not.
Hoorah!

What honor means to me is having the utmost respect for someone or something that has a great meaning to your well-being! I honor my parents, all the military men and women past and present and I honor this great country I live in!!

To give honor means to give special formal public acknowledgment to a someone for who they are and for what they do.

Honor is straightforward, but not simple. Be the example that you are looking for.
