What does the word sacrifice mean to you?

Sacrifice is the giving of oneself - time, talent, money, resources - to an extent that it effects your lifestyle.

Allowing the enemy to win in hopes of finding common ground to build peace on.

Give up everything to protect the country and the ones that you care about and care about the people who you have served and their families. Overcoming obstacles that get in your way

Never thought of service time as a sacrifice…it was something I did to pay back this country for allowing me to enjoy its benifits…

Sacrifice means leaving behind family, missing birthdays, anniversaries, holidays, and other family activities. We deploy without hesitation and communicate by sat phone with our loved ones once a week. We do our job safely so we can return with all the same body parts we left with.

It means to give up something, that includes my life. In order for the well being of others.

Unselfishness and humility.
