What does the word sacrifice mean to you?

Sacrifice means to me totally disregarding one’s self for a greater good.

Sacrifice is to love another as God loves us and be willing to lay your life down for theirs as a sister or brother. To make the will of God your own for His great plan.

Willingness to give, even to the point that suffering or death is your reward.

Giving up Everything for your country

To willingly give, beyond your means, in the service of others without expectation of personal gain.

To give up something priceless in your life for "the greater good"!

Sacrifice means being a dad. It’s putting the entire family’s needs before your own. It’s defining with your wife what needs are greatest now and prioritizing how to meet them.

The sweat, blood, and tears that are shared for others living a better life.

Willingness of an individual to risk and / or give up of ones self in defense of others to defend the life an Individual or in this case the lives of many.
Ex: Enlisting to join any of the United States Military Branches
Ex: When we put our signature on the dotted line, we put our life in the hands of the military branch we joined.

When one volunteers not knowing what they perform will protect and serve their country and others.
