Valor is what makes a man stand back up when he’s knocked down!? it’s what makes him keep fighting even if it seems all is lost! Valor is something you earn with blood, but is rewarded only if enough has been paid!

Valor isn't just going above and beyond or being fearless. It's standing up in the face of fear and and fighting for what you love, believe, those that can't defend themselves, and the ones on your left and right knowing you may make the ultimate sacrifice.

doing something spontaneously in an unselfish way to save the live(s) of your crew or the mission. It is an act that is not really realized that took place until the mission is done and someone looks back at it and is in awe that someone would do such a thing. It is by the admiration of the people of the United States that this person or persons for these brave individuals who showed such valor in the time is publicly recognized for their unselfish act. We could never hank them enough!

Valor is getting up out of a foxhole after a mortar attack, helping your bloodied friend into a chopper to be medevacked and doing your job all over again.

It is going above and beyond the call of duty. Its risking your life to save another person or persons life that is in danger. Its putting GOD and Country about all.

Valor comes in many forms. A soldier who defends his troops and this wonderful country comes to mind but valor should also be recognized in soldiers outside the field of battle have identified and acted upon injustices which allows for the best military power in this world to progress in more ways than our adversaries.

Valor is having the courage to face whatever danger you are in and without giving a second thought or regard for yourself, give your own life for the life of someone else. It is the most selfless act one could ever have and it's not to be taken lightly. Those individuals who have given others this gift will be forever honored, as having Valor is a truly the most honorable trait to have especially in the field of battle.

Valor means doing the right thing when no one is watching, even when you are unsure about what to do. It's remembering that Oath you took and honoring it.

Valor is the strength in one's mindset or spirit to face danger with a sense of relentlessness. Usually this is with total disregard for their own health or well-being. It's a sacrifice that is normally for a greater purpose then themselves. In the military, they give out medals based on acts of valor for their bravery especially when serving in high-risk combat zones such as those service men and women in the Vietnam War.
