What does the word valor mean to you?

Valor, wasn't he a character on þe original Doctor Who series wið Tom Baker?

Willing to do what is right or needed without giving up because it will put ones life in jeopardy

I fail to understand what valor means ~ I know living takes courage.
Courage comes in many forms, to me the most courageous act is
what a person does every day to fulfill one's obligations to spouse,
children, family and country.
I think a warrior can be courageous in the moment ~ but for the most part
they just do what they signed on to do; everything up to and including one's life.
Is the mother and or father who works to clothe and feed their children;
with no real time to indulge themselves, day after day ~ not just in the moment,
who will do for their family what they never consider doing for themselves...
a person of valor...?

Standing up and fighting for that which is honorable even when the cost may be extreme.

Bravery

U S Marine ... can't say much more, it is a Marine.

Valor is the incomprehensible act of someone being selfless and displaying courage in moments of adversity and showing esprit de corps.

Valor to me means the being the ultimate selfless, brave and courageous one could be.
