You have the perception that the duty station has something to do with promotion. Something you heard or some one gave you that idea. I don't think that you think duty location is the primary factor for promotion.
If you haven't already done so, talk to some higher ups in the 92F career field to learn and hear what they have to say.
I think a duty station is an important factor when it has an environment where you can learn and grow, develop personally and professionally, opportunities to deploy and work with other services and entities, where you and your family is taken care of on and off station.
Your promotion is going to come.
- Know and do your job better than anyone else.
- Teach others what you know.
- Be ready to assume greater responsibilities.
All the best to you!

Remember there are Time In Service and Time In Grade requirements to meet for all promotions at the E4 and up. Also you have to be in a unit that has an Open slot in their MTOE (Master Table of Organization and Equipment) for the next higher pay grade.

92 Foxtrots promotions rates are good. E-1 - E4 promotions are automatic if you are in the right location, at the the right time, in the correct uniform. Soldiers struggle with this simple analogy but it's easy. Complete your professional military education courses and you will get promoted to SERGEANT. Put your best for forward you will get promoted.

Giselle Rodriguez Whichever one you are assigned to will do it.
E1-E4 are all time in grade and time in service. You may get early promotions if the Command grants a waiver for one, or both. How do you do that? Don't be a sh*t bird that constantly needs to be "managed". Do your job, learn your job, exceed standards. Before gaming waivers...the Company gets so many based on size.
E5 and E6 are TIS/TIG with a promotion point cutoff score. You have to graduate PME. Most of that is on you: board performance, ACFT score, weapons qualification, awards, deployments etc.
Head to a big Army post with a Division or multiple Divisions, which is where big Army will want to send you. Hood, Bragg, Campbell, Drum, Carson, Korea, Germany, etc.
