I’ve heard of a firing order and have qualified at multiple ranges up to this point and it’s my first time hearing the term so I was just curious.

Someone is trying to use "cool guy" airborne terms as a synonym for "firing order"

I was told it started in WWII amongst paratroopers. A number was put on each guy in your 11 man stick with chalk, and you were to load on the plane with the same number chalked on it. I've heard it used often when lining up troops to load on different helicopters, etc., even though there was no actual chalk involved.

Thanks, I will probably watch Band of Brothers again, someday (been through it twice), I'll watch for that.
