Just to start the conversation, I still make sure that my 'gig' line is straight every single time I get dressed.

SGT Joseph Gunderson Most definitely the gig line is checked every time I get dressed. Usually up at 0600 even though I'm retired. Can't stand unpolished shoes and wrinkled clothing. Messy, unorganized rooms and garages get me too!

Keeping hair short, walking fast (I hate going in public, no one moves with a purpose), showing up at least 15 minutes early, still use radio etiquette, still use phonetic alphabet, still shower quick, still use some of the 10 codes, hell I still wear friggin combat boots all the time, nothing else feels right on my feet, still use the rigger belts.
Saw a lot of you say the gig line, that one I've been letting slip cause I've been having to shift my belt for my concealed weapon holster, so the gig line doesn't bother me much anymore.
And I still treat everything as WHEN something will happen rather than IF.
I'm sure there's more my fiance would point out.

When entering a room, I immediately look for all possible entry/exit points. I then scan the room for possible threats. I always sit in a position that allows a full view of the room and no way of rear attack. I will occasionally defer to another like minded individual, but verbalize that person’s responsibility.

Uncovering indoors, phonetic alphabet, 24hr time, distance in "clicks." Words like affirmative, negative, standard issue. There are more, but those are the ones that come to mind.

I unload/unpack my truck, car and my RV as soon as I back into my driveway after any trip. My RV is scrubbed inside and out before I park it and tarp it. It is reloaded and fueled up and ready for bugout before the vacation or trip is considered over.

I still write in all caps, carry everything in my left hand, when I spell something out I use phonetics, go by a 24 hour clock, inhale my food with zero regard for whether or not it even tastes good, so much more stuff I probably don’t even realize

Eating fast like I don’t know if I’ll get to finish or when my next meal will be.
