So I’m supposed to leave for Fort Leonard Wood TOMORROW and a Captain from my battalion requested an O6 memo from brigade so that they would let me go on a tour of duty mission that I applied for. She still hasn’t received my O6 memo from brigade. Is there anything I can do at this point? I had my unit forward the email to them and they still haven’t done anything. Do they not want to release me? Am I going to lose this job? It’s for a whole year.

SPC (Join to see) -- is your first line supervisor aware of this situation and your timeline? It may be necessary for your 1SG or Commander to check in on this personally. I wouldn't assume that anyone is being disingenuous or deliberately trying to delay you -- I think it's just more that some units can have a difficult time staying on top of admin stuff like this (not an excuse, just an observation), so having your CoC bring a little extra visibility and pressure on this topic is what I would do.

I spoke to my S1 who spoke to my commander and I also told the 1SG about it and he said he would get with the commander but that was last Friday.

SPC (Join to see) - given your timeline here, which is very tight, I would check back again, and also have your first line supervisor in the loop.

Without the letter you cannot go anywhere. See your Company 1SG or Commander for guidance. Thank you for your service.
