I just got dropped from airborne school, and I have orders to the 82nd at fort Bragg. Will my duty station change when I’m a hold or will they still send me there even though I did not complete the course

It's up to HRC. There are other non airborne units at Bragg that may have slots for a 15W that you could fill. Or if the need is high enough they just send you to the 82nd anyway and you return to airborne school at a later date....just as long as you weren't a jump refusal

SFC is spot on. Until then, you'll be a leg like the rest of us.

You may be a Needs of the Army reassignment. Or you could be sent to Bragg and just end up in a LEG unit. Your Cadre will let you know once they have notice of your status. But chances are you are gonna be Needs of the Army since 82nd is Airborne and they don't take non Airborne

What happens if I'm dropped from airborne school while having orders to the 82nd at Fort Bragg?

Not all duty positions at Bragg are Airborne. It all depends if you are supposed to be going into a Paid Parachutist Position. And you can always attend the school again.

Good Grief- Its up to branch, maybe go maybe not. A PV2 leg is of little use in Airborne Units.

I can’t say for your particular MOS, I know if an 11 series fails Airborne-in-route they become Needs of the Army.
