Has anyone figured out the answer yet? I have a buddy who recently failed the first phase and I want to be encouraging if I can, but also realistic. I'm looking through all the counselings and documents we were given and made to sign prior to the Phase I online portion, and I can't really find any information about what happens if you fail, other than not being able to attend Phase II and/or promote. I'm gonna keep digging and report back if I find anything.

Found it: it's in the S.T.E.P. MILPER Number: 16-089 4.F.:

"F. RE-SCHEDULING SOLDIERS WHO PREVIOUSLY WERE NO-SHOWS, DISMISSED FOR FAILING TO MEET COURSE STANDARDS, OR FOR DISCIPLINARY, MEDICAL, OR COMPASSIONATE REASONS WILL REQUIRE A WRITTEN REQUEST TO HRC WITH ENDORSEMENT BY THE FIRST GENERAL OFFICER IN THE SOLDIER’S CHAIN OF COMMAND."

So, it looks like it's not the end of the world, but you better have a good plan to make sure you pass the second time if you hope to get your first General Officer to sign off on the request.

Is this the new-fangled on line portion? I know if you fail the resident part, it's an automatic bar to re-enlistment. Need to check to see if you can re=take the online portion- tho it might count against you some way.

Only if you fail the actual resident portion of ALC. Contact the help desk about your homework. Technical issues happen all the time. You may have to re-enroll

Lol they actually changed WLC to BLC. ALC used to be BNCOC and SLC used to be ANCOC. MLC is a new thing to promote to MSG, kind of like the old 1SG course.
