What happens when you lose your dog tags in the middle of a jungle?

I'm sure the rear echelon has a machine to make more or you grab your extra set.
Today many are getting meat tags tattooed on their rib cage for just such case.

That's a great story, SPC Jan Allbright, M.Sc., R.S.. It seems we may have discussed this story before on RallyPoint. Or maybe I saw it elsewhere. Either way, it's an excellent story about military service and a dog tag that brought back memories, which were likely fond after all those years.
