What have you learned/experienced as part of your military life that could educate/strengthen Americans who have not served?

This too shall pass. Whatever it is....Bad times, good times, field time, work, play, sleep, presidents, whatever...it will all pass someday...just endure and like happy no matter what.

grasp of reality and the view of the rest of the world... and how we are all effected by one another...

That it is never OK to just give up and quit when things get tough.
