Currently a 88M. Looking to reclass to 15T, 15W or CID. I would like some honest insight on the MOS' from service members currently in the field or recently out of the field.

15W is a very small aviation community but its great. If your looking to deploy often I would recommend 15W as I have 2 deployments in a 2 year span. However its gonna be a lot of studying and never ending learning so if you decide on 15W the best thing to do is study and not stop learning.

12B to 15T. Best thing I ever did. Aviation is small and different, but great once you adjust.

Long, 16 weeks. Second shift. Lived in H Co barracks which were infested with black mold and a broken alarm system that kept you up during the day when you should be sleeping. Class was 1700-0000, pt 0900. The school house and H Co are separate entities and do not communicate with each other. H Co does not understand things like AGRs not having orders for a school, just a screen shot... enough of the negative. Class is very walk crawl run. There were 4 reclasses per class when I went. Don’t talk to the 10 levels, they’re special. You will learn just enough to be dangerous. The real MOS training is back at the unit, so take advantage of AFTPs and all that SPC (Join to see)

I was in from '94 to '05... CID was nothing but a snitch in the mix of the Military/Army. I am not familiar w/15W...Apache Mech/crewchief? Well, Apaches don't have Crewchiefs-it's all ground team maintenance. I was a 15T, Crewchief, FI, etc. There's a lot of static in the last couple sentences... let it go! I am equally proud of you all, thank you for your Service!
Yes, reclassing to 15T if very worth it! If you're responsible, knowledgeable, understand mech/hydraulic systems you have a good chance of getting into the Flt Platoon and being assigned a helicopter to maintain, and be part of the flight crew on! Good luck, God Bless!
