Lisa Smith - Depends on the time of year. In the summer, it is hot and humid. In the winter....damn damn cold. Otherwise, it's just a lot of training in heavy equipment and dirt. Lots and lots of dirt.

MSG (Join to see) - That about covers it. The equipment training, operating and maintaining, is pretty busy. Yes, you will push a lot of dirt. Lots and lots of dirt.

I was only ever there for training; never stationed there for duty. I guess it would depend on what you are into.

As SFC Livingston said, damn cold in in the winter and hot and humid in the summer. Been on FLW as a 12B for 4 years and some change now. Great base with a lot to do for those in a training status while on pass. The 12N facilities are HUGE and fairly new (Don't expect new equipment though) They're out learning vehicles and pushing dirt at least 4 days a week that I can see from where I work.
