I am a prior service Marine at E5, and am going through AIT as a 14T soon. I just wanted to know if I would be treated as a boot going through the training. I know i will be at Fort Sill, a side from that I dont know much.

Not bad the transitions have it easy but sometimes the instructors get power hungry and have you working along us privates during the day but only if they don't like you. They'll have you watching over the Pvt's. Other then that you'll have complete freedom after 1600 you'll have your pov if you have one and you get your own separate set of rules then the ait Pvt's. Other then that it's completely relaxed for y'all

So I just went through as a 14E this summer. Prior Marine here as well. Its gonna be 7 weeks for you. Pt every morning with the privates. After hours and weekends are yours to do as you please. 250 limit on weekends without an out of bounds pass. Bring your car for sure. The platoon sgts treat the transitions "prior service / reclass folks" fairly well and leave us alone. Find yoh a spot in the back of the class and let the privates do their thing. The less you mess with the privates, the better off youll be.

one thing to remember: ALWAYS, repeat ALWAYS, do the "jerk test" when you are road marching a launcher. You do not want to be the guy who drives a HEMTT out from under a launcher. Actually saw a guy do that in AIT...
