What kind of question is that? Having served in the Marine Corp from 59-63 and the Army from 63-66. I can tell you, what is it you are looking for? I was in an ammo company in both the Marines and Army. The Marines have a different mission than the army. From my experience, the marine corp is more disciplined, takes a longer time in grade to make rank. Since it is a smaller service it is more selective in picking its recruits, We are the spearhead of any hostilities. We are on standby more often. The Army is more laid back less discipline . Rank is faster. Certain units are Elite. Army wears shoulder Patches Marines don't. Every Marine is Elite The EGA is their badge of honor. In combat I would rather be in the corp. Every Marine is a Rifleman. They all get Infantry training. In the army your MOS comes first. Your not required to be an infantryman. That is my experience I imagine things have changed, but what I related to you is basic.

Like others said. Neither. They both serve different purposes. They have different MOSs. Marine Corps boot camp is harder. Soldiers get deployed more than Marines. You have to do some digging to find out what you like better.

As a Marine I would say the Corps. Both organizations are dedicated to the infantryman. But in truth the differences would heavily depend on the career field you are interested in. There are career fields in the Army that the Marines do not have. One in particular would be the medical field.

A question without an answer. All branches have specific missions that combined make a strong military.

Too many variables to give a short descriptive answer. Marines are Navy, tougher physical requirements. Army has more options for base assignments. Both offer good education and benefits.
