Hi, I have my DEROS 19JUL22 and my report date to my new duty station is 22JUL22. I haven't had a chance to talk to MPD and branch is not replying to my emails. How am I suppose to move my dependents in the US from X location to my new duty location when my car is being shipped from OCONUS(we have only one car).
Last time I PCS'd from OCONUS was a month between DEROS and report date

Sometimes you are required to do exactly what you have said - report in the same date. If you have any trouble making the 2400hrs drop dead time call ahead to the Fort Staff Duty Officer.

Based on your report date, I take your move is based on a reup option. I would contact your Career Counselor to try and get that report date moved to the right 30 days. You can always report early (no longer needs to be on orders when coming from OS) if you so choose.

HRC gave you this assignment and as it moves through the validation process either your DEROS or report date will change. Report months cannot t be the same month as your DEROS when the assignment is generated. Your Career Counselor can't change your report date because it wasn't generated through a reenlistment. You can submit a deferment for 30 or 60 days through your S1 now if you prefer. As 1SG (Join to see) pointed out, a 60 day push to the right - as long as the report date is within 60 days of your DEROS - is nothing for HRC.

As long as your report date is not before your DEROS, you are good. you will need to FSTE

Also, ensure that if your report date is moved to the right, that it doesn't affect your service remaining requirement. If it does it may trigger the need to extend.

MSG. I will have to reup since my ETS NOV2022. But Career Counselor seems not too familiar with moving report dates

SSG (Join to see) while a lot has changed since I was a branch manager, in my experience all he gotta do is request the changed thru HRC (provided this is a reenlistment assignment). If not, you will have to get with branch to move it to right. I used to be able to move RPT dates to up to 60 days (left or right) without paperwork. Then again, a lot has changed with this new "marketplace"
