General of the Armies of the United States officially...but unofficially the person in charge of my life at that moment lol

The same as every other service....the chairman of the joint chiefs of staff. This office holder technically is the highest ranking member. For instance if Admiral Horatio Waverider is the Chairman he out ranks Admiral Fredrick Deckwalker who is the Chief of Naval Operations even though the CNO would run the day to day business.

General of the Armies of the United States. John Pershing held this rank on active duty. George Washington was awarded the rank posthumously in 1976.

General of the Armies is the highest rank ever in the United States Army. it has been given out twice. Once to George Washington and John Pershing. The Rank Directly below it is "General of the Army" which is a 5 star general and reserved for wartime use.
