SSG (Join to see) - Practice reading out loud so you can get comfortable reading around people. you will learn about passive voice just knowing when to use it and not. the barracks life is not that bad just be willing to help clean the restroom just do your part to help out the team. And remember Actor, Action, Recipient. The first few days are dragg but things get better, be willing to volunteer to read I stress the reading out loud part because that is what they will tell you to do it will only help you as you prepare to go into the booth for grades. The instructors will tell you to read a child's book, practice reading backwards so you can pronounce each word. FYI (little) is placed with DD so (liddle) I had a hard time with my T's when you hit it hard and I was dropping my D's as well just do a lot of reading to your family your biggest supporters.
