It depends on the mission of the day. If you're doing field maneuvers, then Driver or TC.
If you're at gunnery, then either Gunner, TC, or Loader....
But they all have their perks.

Im curious as well (brand new to armor) which position is the best to have?

As a retired tank commander. All of the positions have their pluses and minuses. I started as a driver then gunner before becoming a commander. I loaded for friends tanks from time to time. But as a commander I usually put the new guy in the loaders position because he was next to me and could learn more.
