This isn't really a military question but I was wondering what is the best way to learn a new language without having to go into classroom? What is a good app or site you have had a good experience using? I'm trying to become more fluent in Spanish and hopefully learn Russian.

YouTube. Start with the target language alphabet song, and work up from there. Immersion, repetition, and practice is the best way.

Good luck

I’m a DLI trained Arabic linguist. Though it was scary, their method was very effective. On day 1, English was not spoken. You knew nothing about the language, yet your teachers were speaking nothing but that in front of you. Trying to survive to communicate meant you had to figure it out quick and that led to an ability to really learn it.

I used to have a Russian army SSG. She played Racquetball. We stayed at a local Holiday Inn for a week after she got beat. What a week that was. She was American and married.
