My goal is to go back to the military as a medical officer. Should I re-enlist then school or simply go to nursing school and take ROTC

Personally I would get out and go to school. You never know what life throws at you. Id rather have a nursing degree just incase you decide the military is not for you down the line.

Go through ROTC. Using an enlisted to officer program such as Green to Gold has many more ADDSO stipulations.

I am pursuing the same degree that you are.

I have decided to ETS and go to school as a ROTC cadet even though my command is doing everything in their power to get me to re-up.

I've learned that when you have the opportunity for those type of programs you need to go for it. Don't wait around for it to happen at a later date. You never know what could happen of if you will ever get a chance at this again.
