Does anyone have any status updates or youtube news post that can clarify the difference in gun law and gun control in Texas? Just wondering..

While we're waiting for the TX numbers to appear here is some light reading from Duke University's research:

"Why should America adopt a policy of near-zero tolerance for private gun ownership?. .. (W)ho can still argue compellingly that Americans can be trusted to handle guns safely? We think the time has come for Americans to tell the truth about guns. They are not for us, we cannot handle them." --Los Angeles Times, December 28, 1993

Hell it went into effect 20 days ago, were people expecting crime rates to change that fast? Hell I live in the burbs of DFW and haven't seen anyone carrying openly, yet. I haven't, I still carry concealed.

Concealed carry seems the way to be prepared for self-defense situations while not drawing undue preemptive attention from someone with criminal intent.

It's still a psyop, "walk softly and carry a big stick." Most criminals are cowards and don't want to die in the process of breaking the law. They typically avoid areas where people can defend themselves. Then there is death by suicide, criminals who know they are bad people and are too cowardly to pull the trigger themselves, so they hope a cop or armed civilian will do it for them.
