19D's are in a class with cooks, computer/network repairs, mechanics, and field artillery. They are called POGs.

And I'd like to question your POG comment, by your definition cav is a POG mos? So you probably roll tankers, artillery crewmen, fisters, combat medics, and SOF as POGs? So if you met a 92G3T, you'd consider him/her a POG?

The actual name for the 11B (11 BAAM BAAM) (regarding to the sound of the firearms when it’s fired and the sound of explosions of hand-Grenades and other devices they use to destroy the enemy) so it’s the fighting force, No doubt about it. The 19D they are as mentioned forward scouts plus they direct fires either from air or Big guns Far behind the front lines .. So both MOS is are Crucial to the outcome of the battle .. I did not had the honor to serve in any one of those MOS’s .. I served with the military intelligence and the psychological operations (It was the most enjoyable time of my life) .. Any MOS in the military is very important and it contributor to the outcome of the battle. Everyone served in any MOS in any Capacity, they are heroes in my eyes, no matter what.

Infantry do a lot of walking into combat situations, Scouts do a lot of riding metal boxes into combat situations.

I served duty at Fort Wainwright AK. back in 1981. We were the Blues Platoon Air First Calvary Reconnaissance 11B. It’s nothing like having support from those Huey’s. We all work as one expanded team with different MOS.
