I know in 2019 there was talk about making your date of responsibility the day you graduate from flight school just wondering if anyone has insight

Not sure what a date of responsibility is, never heard that term. If you mean your ADSO, the ADSO is now ten years from when you graduate training.

Why is that so important? If you intent dropping a WO packet that should be the least of your concern.

You become responsible just by submitting, and officially if/when you take an Oath.
