Eighth US Army. I wore that patch in Korea in 1975 and I am pretty sure my father wore it in Japan in 1945.
I'd say it was the insignia for the people that were in the motion picture industry and for those who were combat photographers...
That's the 8th Army patch and he is probably at Camp Casey or somewhere in 2ID territory in South Korea. Miss him, wish we had leadership like that today.
