My unit is scheduled deploy and i have to get a centcom waiver for being enrolled in a substance abuse program. Been discharged from the program for 4 months now and i guess my question is whats the likely hood of having it approved? No relapse or anything and i was in the program for only a month. Anyone have any experience with this?

If you still have some time before mob/ movement then I strongly recommend having your S1 submit the waiver request before your medical event. My experience with the CENTCOM waiver process took about 2 months. I ended up being a medical holdover for 2 weeks after my unit hit ground due to CENTCOM being slow to grant a medication waiver. My S1 sent a waiver request for another soldier on the same medication a month before mob and his waiver was approved 2 weeks after SRP. The sooner the request is pushed up, the better!
