What is the likelihood of making the cutoff for ALC while number 2 on the waitlist?

Currently waitlisted for Infantry ALC at Benning in November, I’m 2 on the waitlist. I’m hardslotted for the NG course in Annville, PA in January . My wife is due 5 days after graduation. What is the likelihood of making the cutoff for the November class in Benning? HRC is tracking my situation, I spoke with the infantry branch schools guy the other day.

Your chances greatly improve if you show up on Day 0 for the course. If there is a no show, it will not be known until day 0. If the Soldier in the first waitlist spot is not present they will take you.

I doubt I’ll be able to justify taking a day trip down to FBGA in the event someone doesn’t show up. I will keep it in mind though thanks

You will more than likely make it into the class. Someone always call out at the last minute. miss a flight or become a no show. Be sure to have all your documentation and have your APFU ready and available, you have a HT/WT done the same time you in process.

Whichever course you go to, the one in PA is great. I did my ALC there and it was a good learning experience.
