My last unit was air assault and we captured high value targets in Afghanistan so we had to maintain a or score of 270 to stay in so if it's for special assignments the Company Commander might require higher expectections just for that Company.

SGT Michael Jackson I'm aware what an Infantry Soldiers PT score should be, and I set that example from the minute I put boots on till the day I took them off for good. However, today's Army doesn't allow for the type of physical training that should be happening to produce hard Soldiers anymore.

As an Infantryman you never worried about what you had to make to skate by, you always gave 100% everytime to do your best. If at the end of the day if you did everything to achieve your optimal goal then that's all you need to worry about. When I went through Infantry Basic/IAT the MOTO was "Lead or Get the Hell Out of the Way"
