What is the military weapon or system you miss using the most?

M1 Carbine. Much easier to carry than the M14. I left Vietnam just before the M16 was issued so I never got to fire it. We used the M1 at Camp Geiger (near LeJeune) during AIT and then I qualified with it once during my time at New River Air Facility. My MOS was actually 0221 (Air Intelligence) but that one wasn't available, so I had to use 0231 (Ground Intelligence).

I miss the blue force trackers, satellite tracking and able to message people around us. Granted programming them sucked…

I miss the smell of a freshly cleaned and oiled M4/16 family rifle. The first round out combined with that smell to generate strong memories!

None! The weapons that are used are for killing, nothing else! Since leaving the military I no longer hunt. I do own a pistol for my family's protection and do have a permit, I also own a 12 gauge shotgun for home protection.
