The trust I had in one follow soldier that died at only 73 before we could do things together again.

Being in the Army between 1966 - 69, the system that I miss the most are the K-9's (Ike and Lady) that I worked with during that time.

M-4. (hated the m16A2, but loved the M-4 carbine). That collapsible butt stock was worth its weight in gold.

I miss the camaraderie. I have many non-veteran friends, but it's not the same.

What I miss the most is the boots. The military was and is special to me and hanging up my boots was a tough decision. The military system I miss the most would be the sound of an F-15 screaming over your head. I was always starstruck at the sheer loudness and speed. It never got old.

I was an electrician in the Navy so I was only qualified on the M14 and 45. The M14 was a joy to fire and was very accurate but kind of heavy.

I miss the March to the rifle range in boot camp. Crack of dawn we are marching as our boots we’re hitting the ground to the beat of Ghost Riders In The Sky. It was very peaceful and took the edge off boot camp.
