I served with the Captain Slaughter and yes it is totally appropriate he is amazing and is now Colonel Slaughter

Col. Dickinsheets. It was hard to stay still at attention during the retirement ceremony with the barely concealed laughs under the stoic faces.

When I was stationed in Bamberg, Germany, there was a sergeant E5 whose last name was Sergeant and a Major whose last name was Major.

Had a Drill Sgt in 1992 by the name of Drill Sgt Batman ... no lie it was on his name tape ... Also had a Drill Sgt Pigg.

When I was in Oklahoma, our Battalion XO's name was Major Wood. Also my buddy had a soldier who's first name was pronounces SHI-THEED, but it was spelled, S-H-I-T-H-E-A-D.

In sub school we had a seaman guzzler and a seaman spray lol
