I've known two "SGT Major"'s over the years, although one was spelled Majer. The oddest though was a LT Kernel. He got a lot of flack. Last I heard he had gotten out before making captain.

Had a battle who's last name was Navy who I went went through BCT and AIT with

One of the DS I work with at Jackson is SSG (DS) Brutal. I also know a SSG Savage. SGT Battle. CPT Dickwood. 2LT Blueberry. And there is also (I've only seen this guy once, but I hope to find him again) a SPC Chiesedick (yes, that is pronounced how it looks).

My very first day of basic training back in 2002 I had KP. Back then a drill sgt would stay with us all day, and the drill sgt was Drill sgt Kitchen.
