What is the most military-appropriate name you've encountered in the military?

Look at my last name, I have had more things thrown at it than I can recall. I had 1SG when I was a private who would ask me what the weather was going to be before we went on an FTX. Immediately after that conflict in the middle east in 1991, If I heard the term "Is your first name Desert?" after reading my name tape, I heard it a million times. At first it was funny, but 10 years later, my normal response is "you think I haven't heard that? Your a special kind of slow aren't you?" A few people have said I should of been a spy, no that I like.

I knew a SGT Slaughter who happened to be a medic. Thought I couldn't top that, but later met a SGT Rogue. Didn't ask about rogue squad.

We had PV2 Parts in basic... I also currently work with a guy who is a Captain in the Reserves... last name Sargent... but that's pretty common. There have been awesome names like "Killjoy", "Fearless", and "Deadmaker"... Those are all bad-ass names that I have seen while I was in. I'm sure there have been more, but none pop into my hear right now.

My Father was with the 57th Field Hospital in WWII. He served with a SGT Major.

He did get commissioned, so I've always wondered if he ever became MAJ Major.

Good buddy of mine was named lance coulter. So when he had picked up e3 he became lance corporal, lance coulter. His dad was also a jarhead and planned it.

When I first this sailor I had to do a double take on his ID. His name at that time was Sailor. And yes he was in the Navy, so it was Seaman Sailor.

When I was Stationed in Japan. We had a Capt. Aho and a Sgt Baka. working in the same office. Aho in Japanese is crazy and Baka means stupid.

Had a LT who last name was Sargeant.
