What is the most military-appropriate name you've encountered in the military?

When I was at NCO school at Cp. Johnson back in 1987, we had a Sgt. Major in our ranks.

I met a Col. Sanders from the reserves on a crc flight out bliss a few years back.

I worked with an old Warrant by the name of Jim Battle.

I am SGT Dike.. I was, at one time, someone's very own private Dike. I could have been Major Dike... Ugh, no thanks. How bout seaman Dike.. ouch. Rear admiral Dike? Forget that. I think the only "safe" branch would be enlisted AF. Lawd.. just thought it.. Petty Officer Dike.

Not totally on topic but my squadron at Kadena AB had a very good flag football team and our QB's name was John Passmore.
On TDY to Cam Ranh, Vietnam I visited an orphanage and there was an airman there whose name tag sewn on his fatigues really surprised me. It said QUEER.

When I was a dependent at Tinker AFB, OK, we had a friend and neighbor Sergeant Sergeant (or maybe Sargent).

My recruiter was SSG Canteen, I feel he was picked for recruiting based on his name alone...

I knew both a SGT Slaughter and a CPT Slaughter. ALso had a CO with the name Titsworth............can't imagine a woman wanting to marry into that name.

I worked with a guy who had the last name of Major who was a SGT
