While I was deployed to Okinawa the second time, a fellow Marine and I bought a six pack a piece of Red Horse Beer. It was the start of a four day weekend. I don't remember the four days

Arguing with those of higher rank. I still haven't learned that even if I am right, as long as the other person has so much as one stripe more than me I am wrong.

Otherwise I try not to do anything really stupid. Have never been a fan of getting in trouble so I avoid doing things that will get me into trouble. I let other people make their mistakes and I learn from them from the results of their actions. Might seem like the cheaters way of making it through without disciplinary action but it works.

(Note: Don't take that as me saying I wouldn't stop someone from doing wrong if I saw them about to do wrong. I am simply talking about people making the mistakes outside of my knowledge and me hearing about it and learning from it later.)

Here's the highlight: It involved the Lancaster County (Nebraska) Sheriff & my accomplices: Jack Daniels and three roommates. We were released on our own recognizance with the mutual agreement that we were to never re-enter Lincoln city limits. So far, so good!

Believing those above me have my best interest at heart. Once you make E-7 it's every man for himself.
