What is the next step for my packet being board ready?

** My AFS ETP was approved and my application is now in a board ready status for the January 2020 board. Thanks for the recommendations throughout this process.**
My packet has now been technically qualified by my proponent and sent to G3 SP&B who will send it to G1 (most likely following the conclusion of the November board) for AFS ETP disposition. How long does the G1 process typically take? and When can I possibly expect an email stating that my packet is "board ready"? Thanks to everyone for all the feedback!

I followed up every other week with my recruiter. I received the proponent memo, AFS Waiver, and medical waiver within two or three weeks of each other. The moral waiver took the longest which pushed me to the Nov board. Up until I was board ready, I was calling every week.

Hey... At this point just follow up with your WORT for updates. Usually, they are very helpful keeping you updated. I hope to see you with your dot soon. Good luck.

Thanks! I received an email this morning that proponent had technically qualified my packet and it is now waiting at G1 for disposition on my AFS ETP.

For your AFS waiver, you should get an email stating whether or not it was approved by G1 USAREC. If it has then proponent will review and determine if your packet is board ready or not. Once it is you’ll get another email stating you’re good to go for the January board. I had to do an AFS waiver myself; aside from the board dates that was the chronological order of email traffic.

Thanks for the feedback, I suppose I will continue to play the waiting game. I have not got an email from either G1 or proponent. However, the WORT informed me that my packet had gone from G1 to proponent a few days ago.

You can always ask the WORT the result of the waiver. Follow ups should be welcomed throughout the process. Once you get the board ready message though it’s all about the waiting game.CW2 (Join to see)
