What is the process and likelihood of a US Army Reserve 1LT getting accepted to augment 75 Ranger Regiment for a deployment?

I'm looking to gain deployment experience prior to getting to my board for Captain and I know that you can apply for the RMIB. Just curious on if the chances of getting accepted would be good or not. Mainly soliciting advice from those who have applied or been on a deployment with the RMIB.

I knew a Reserve 1LT who did just that; we served together in Afghanistan during my time in RSTB. Contact the Regimental Recruiting Detachment for the how. Also, after his RASP assessment, he attended and passed Ranger School. You would have to do the same.

Where did you read that reserves can apply? From what I read, it’s meant for active duty soldiers. The RMIB is a new battalion that needs Intel MOS Q soldiers. Still have to go to RASP 1 or in your case Rasp 2. Unless you get a DD 368 for conditional release from reserve components, you don’t qualify.
