What is the process to make an early PCS happen after having submitted my 4187?

So I’ll make this simple? I’m due to PCs to Stewart in August? I submitted my 4187, my Award, and my leave form? I was told by transition that I am allowed to pcs 120 early because of my situation (My wife has high risk pregnancy and is on bedrest until the end of term)? My NCO just threw me my packet and said look up the regulation? My question is how can I make this happen? I have all the forms? I supposed to start leave March 3rd until my new report date of May 7th? How can I get an exception to policy?

You would need to complete a 4187 requesting early report due to your spouse high risk pregnancy. Make sure you have the Dr,s letter stating the latest she can travel. No disrespect, if you’re not getting assistance from your NCO, you may want to talk with your 1SG because your days are numbered, you do t ha e a lot of time to work with and it takes 30-45 days for approval.
Contact your branch manager to give them a heads up and they will tell you exactly what they need from you...

How did you get your assignment? Were you placed on assignment by your branch? Did you request it through a reenlistment? Was this a compassionate reassignment?
Also, when is your spouse due and is she military as well?

Where are you currently CONUS or OCONUS? Your original report date is August but you are looking to get it changed to May, am I understanding this correctly?

Both SFC Hobbs and Mr. C pretty much covered it. The early arrival paperwork will need to be processed through your S1 to HRC.

That URL will take you to the HRC page for deletions, deferments and early arrivals. You will need the 4187 signed by the first O6 in your Chain of command which in a normal unit will most likely be your BDE CDR. You’ll also need a doctors note. In regards to the doctors note, ensure that he specifies what is the no later movement date for your wife and since it is a high risk pregnancy whether or not she is even allowed to move/PCS at this time, because if not then you may have to look at a deferment instead of early arrival. This will be important because that will be what your PCS date will be based off of.

Every branch is a little different, but your assignment manager may be able to adjust your report date to the right 60 days depending on what the original date on your requisition was and as long as it was not done by retention/career counselor. However that would place you at a June report date, and if they are even nicer they may be able to add CE to your special instructions allowing you 60 days early report. With 60 days early report though your DA 31 will still have to take you through to your report date and you would just sign in early, let me know if that makes sense.
Now I did notice that your profile says Private and above I mentioned if the assignment was done through your career counselor/retention, so if by any chance you re-enlisted for assignment of choice to go to Fort Stewart you may need to go through your career counselor to get the date changed because the assignment was based off of a contract. Either way, definitely contact the Soldier Action Branch to see what they tell you.

Since you're probably a first term Soldier, you most likely reenlisted for this assignment. In order to change the report date you have to submit a 4187 and the medical reasoning to your Career Counselor for the date change.
However, if your spouse is having a dangerous pregnancy you should not attempt to PCS with her and change her PCM mid pregnancy as that would cause a lapse in care of up to a month or two. Definitely do not try to PCS in the third trimester. Push the date to the right if necessary

If you have your orders, ask the person at your levy if they can assist. Dont upset your leadership. If your not getting help from your immediate supervisor, ask to speak with the PLT SGT.

If the doctor has put your wife on bed rest for the remainder of her pregnancy, you may actually need to seek a deferment of orders because once the bedrest is given, she is not allowed to leave the current assigned instillation.
What is your current duty station and will the move require flying? If YES, you need to start the deferment process now as she will not be allowed to fly anywhere.
