What is the promotion timeline after a reduction from a FG Article 15? Should I automatically be promoted since I have 7.8 years TIS?

If I was demoted to E-1 on 04MAR21 for an Article 15 and my flag was lifted 20APR21, does that mean I should have been promoted to E-2 automatically considering I have 7.8yrs TIS?

Since you exceed the RCP for your current grade dut to reduction, your new ETS should be 03 September 2021, six months from the date of your reduction. You will not be able to meet the TIG requirements for each rank to make it back to SPC (P) prior to your new ETS.
Go see your Career Counselor with your reduction paperwork to get your new ETS. The last thing you want is to wait another two months before someone catches it and you only have a month or two to clear and ETS.

I was on top of the entire process and have an ETS of 30Aug and report to the reserves 01SEP. I cannot get a straight answer from S-1 or my unit on if I am due promotion to E-2. Although my ERB does not show promotion neither does my PPW all show E1

SPC(P) (Join to see) the answer is in the promotion regulation, as MSG (Join to see) stated you must serve the TIG for the rank. The promotion isn't automatic once you've been reduced. It's not your units responsibilty to figure the answer out for you. Take the regulation to S1 and training room and show them the answer.

SFC (Join to see) - I have looked it up and down. There is *no* TIG listed for promotion to E2, ONLY TIS.

You'll have to complete the TIG requirements again, E1 to E2 is curious though as the regulation does not have a TIG requirement only a TIS requirement. I would seek out your NCO and see if they'd be willing to send up a 4187 to promote you to E2 based on the TIS mentioned in the regulation if you're unflagged.
E1 - E2: 6 Months TIS
E2 - E3: 12 Months TIS, 4 Months TIG
E3 - E4: 24 Months TIS, 6 Months TIG

MSG (Join to see) - That should probably be re-written to be more clear since it doesn't have the same meaning with the other promotions, wouldn't be the first time an AR was confusing or misinterpreted.
